Recently, unofficial information circulated that Maldonado was part of the officials of the Nicolás Maduro administration who had been detained in the anti-corruption operation that began last Friday, March 17. However, this information was denied on the state company’s Twitter account, when photos of the official were shown in meetings within the company’s facilities.
“At this time, they report that the Sebin and Anti-Corruption Police commissions withdrew. There is no more information about the presence of the officials,” said the Caroní Mail on his Twitter account.
In a speech broadcast this Wednesday, March 29, Maduro spoke about the plot of corruption by public officials in Pdvsajudges and businessmen and asked the research organizations to find the diverted resources to be invested in social programs.
“We already have the confession of almost half of those captured, of the misdeeds and robberies they were committing against our Republic,” he said. “What I am is angry with these bandits and I will take all the circumstances that I can take against all these bandits,” he added.
