President Mario Abdo Benítez signed the decree by which appoints and confirms Juan Federico Martín Hetter Garay as executive head of the National Anti-Corruption Secretariat (Senac).
Hetter Garay was appointed as interim on September 7, replacing René Fernández, who had passed to the Secretariat for the Prevention of Money Laundering (Seprelad).

The new Anti-Corruption Minister served as public defender between 2015 and 2019until in September of that year he joined Senac as General Director of Legal Advice.
He has a master’s degree in International Economic Criminal Law from the University of Granada in Spain.
