Antel managed to maintain its leadership in the Uruguayan telecommunications market at the end of 2022, reaching a share of 49.3% and a difference of almost 20% with its closest competitor. This figure represents an increase of 1.9 percentage points relative to its end-2021 market sharewhich was located in the 47.4%according to data from the state entity.

A drop of several points compared to 2019
Although Gurméndez and the government celebrate this increase compared to 2021, when compared to 2019, the year before the pandemic, a rather noticeable drop can be seen.
