Shortly after being expelled from the political party that bears his name, National Alliance of University Agricultural Workers, Reservists and Workers (ANTAURO), Antauro Humala He is accused by founders, former leaders and former militants of having caused division during his stay until last October 14, the date when the political group decided to expel him for “his recurring behaviors that generate division,” said the president of the party. “He betrayed the national project. He took it as a family project and began to appoint those close to him even though there were already provincial committees registered and recognized by the Registry of Political Organizations,” says Vizcarra.
On the other hand, Marco Vizcarra said that he asked Antauro Humala on different occasions, through a notarized letter, to moderate his already known hate speeches, so that the party would not be denounced for advocating violence, however, his effort was in vain. The ethnocacerista candidate for the Presidency of Peru decided not to pay attention and responded with insults to the members of his group when there was a meeting between themselves.
Provincial bases against Antauro Humala
In Cajamarca, the former secretary general, Esmelin Arias Carrerawho resigned from the party on September 9, denounced that Antauro “took power without respecting anyone, he believed that the party was his private property.” Likewise, he pointed out that the former presidential candidate recognized as leaders people who were not party members and, therefore, requested that he be expelled from the party for “usurping functions.”

On the other hand, the former coordinator of the party in Ancash, Hilario Justiniano, confessed that Humala, after beginning to distribute accreditation cards for coordinators, began negotiating candidacies for Congresswhich generated a stir and culminated in the resignation of 21 representatives of provincial committees. In that sense, Justinian did not delay in expressing his indignation at Antaurus’s undemocratic acts.
“I wouldn’t want the country to fall into the hands of that mercenary. We longed for a radical change in the country. This man has disappointed us with his undemocratic acts. He went out in the name of the party to talk about shootings and many other things,” lamented Hilario, who resigned from the party on September 5.
The Prosecutor’s Office asked to cancel the registration of the ANTAURO party
The National Prosecutor’s Officethrough the area of Illicit Enrichment and Constitutional Complaints, requested the Judiciary that the illegality of the political organization be declared National Alliance of Agricultural Workers, University Reservists and Workers (ANTAURO) considering that the party’s activities are contrary to democratic principles and violate fundamental freedoms and rights.
“The cancellation of the registration of the aforementioned political organization from the Registry of Political Organizations and any other registry is required,” reads the statement issued by the Public Ministry, in addition to requesting the closure of the premises supporting the political organization. Likewise, it was requested that “the impossibility of re-registration of the aforementioned political organization in the Registry of Political Organizations and any other registry be ordered.”
The nullity of the political party will be decided in the coming days, after the Supreme Court has left the ruling to the vote after hearing the arguments of both parties.
