The mining contractor companies antapaccayIMEIFE SAC and TM Maquinarias SA, denounced that on January 12 and 13 they suffered attacks against their property by residents of neighboring communities.
In the case of the first mentioned, he pointed out that last Thursday they were victims of attacks that included the burning of their vehicular units.
“We make it clear that these violent and intimidating actions are a demonstration of the serious crisis and the aggravated threat in which human rights and rights to work are found, especially the right to work as a fundamental right for the family support of our Espinarense workers”, assured the company in a community.

For its part, TM Maquinarias SA indicated that on Friday a group of people detained a van that “was at the service of our community company.” Subsequently, the driver was forced to get out of the car and they proceeded to take the car.
“The vehicle is owned by a community member, who at this moment is emotionally affected as well as his entire family, this vehicle is the result of the efforts of all of them and today they are involved in this unpleasant situation,” the company commented.
The companies called on the authorities to find a solution to the problem, and asked the protesters to respect the “physical integrity of the workers.”
During the week, the Antapaccay copper miner also denounced that vandals broke in and set part of its facilities on fire. First there were vehicles and then a drinking water pump.
