The National Social Security Administration (ANSES) grants an economic benefit to registered workers, during the 90-day period granted to them for maternity leave.
This benefit is provided by registering the maternity allowance of the ANSES and processed directly with the organismin person or virtually.
The ANSES gives the registered workers the payment corresponding to their salaryduring the period of maternity leave, since during this time they do not receive normal remuneration as they cannot work.
The maternity allowance is requested once the employer has granted the leave, and the payment is collected in accordance with the family allowance calendar of the ANSES.
The registration can be carried out by workers in a dependency relationship and registered domestic service, as well as workers who are receiving payment from a Work Risk Insurer (ART).
To be one of the beneficiaries, the applicant must have a minimum of 12 weeks of gestation, in addition to 3 months of employment. In case of having several jobs, a record must be made for each one.
What does the ANSES request for the maternity allowance?
The organism requires, among other things, a medical certificate of pregnancy, fill out a form (depending on the type of job the worker has)in addition to an affidavit.
A form must also be filled out to designate the means of collection, which can also be modified through the same document.
The procedure can be carried out in person, with a prior shift, at the offices of the ANSES or through the My ANSES portal, where all the personal data of the applicant must be accredited.
In addition, it may be necessary to present the birth certificates of the children (if any), the marriage or cohabitation certificate and the DNI of the family group.
