Four more pre-salt blocks will be bid in production sharing in the Permanent Offer System of the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP). They are in the Campos Basin, between Espírito Santo and Rio de Janeiro. The decision was made on Tuesday (18) by the National Council of Energy Policy (CNPE).
The expectation is to raise more than $ 522 billion during the life of the projects. Almost R $ 1 billion in subscription bonus should enter this year. R $ 511 billion in investments are also expected.
The four blocks then join another 24 who were already authorized. According to the Ministry of Mines and Energy, the next auction, scheduled for June, may be the largest ever held.
In the sharing regime, the company that explores the site is part of production to the federal government, which can resell the oil. According to the National Petroleum Agency, almost 80% of the production of 4.3 million barrels of oil last year were extracted in the pre-salt.
