According to information released by the Highway Police, a truck with Argentine registration was hit by the truckwhich was transporting logs, at kilometer 378. As a result of the impact, the truck fell from the bridge over the San Francisco Chico creekwhich had half a path enabled because it is under construction, and fell into the water.
The cabin was semi-submerged and the driver, trapped. Initially, firefighters worked on the scene to try to access the cabin; later it was confirmed that the young man died in the place.
On the other hand, the five Argentine occupants of the impacted van —two adults and three children— they were unharmed. According to information from Caminera, the spirometry of the driver of that vehicle was negative and the three minors were traveling with a child restraint system (SRI).
