He consul general of the Dominican Republic in New York, Jesús «Chu» Vasquez Martínez reported this Friday that his WhatsApp has been hacked.

The information was released through his X account (former Twitter), with the following message:

«Please ignore any message that may arrive from my account. Ignore any requests for money. Thank you very much,” he expressed.

In addition, it showed a conversation where the alleged imposter asks for money in his name.
