The spokesperson for the Nicaraguan regime, Rosario Murillo, reported that on the morning of this Thursday, April 27, a new fleet of 150 Russian buses has arrived in the country, which will serve to renew the old and worn-out public transport units of Managua.
“Today 150 bus units, new units, are touring the western departments, Chinandega, León and arriving in Managua to be delivered to the driver brothers, carrier brothers, by our president in the coming days,” Murillo explained, in his speech. by the official media.
In addition, the vice president of Nicaragua pointed out that the arrival of these units is “good news that reflects the new times, that new day that we receive with joy, with happiness and that we recognize as a blessing from God.”

This is the second fleet of Russian buses to arrive in Nicaragua so far this year 2023. The first 150 units arrived in the country on January 13 and were delivered to carriers from León, Chinandega, Tipitapa, Estelí, Matagalpa, Masaya and other departments.
The Daniel Ortega regime usually takes advantage of the arrival of these units to make political propaganda in favor of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN). On each bus they hang party flags and they take pictures of the drivers simulating with their fingers the number two, the polling place that represents the dictator of the country.
Upon arrival in Nicaragua, these units undergo a modification process that adapts to the conditions of the nation, since in their original design they are sealed to contain cold temperatures. Likewise, windows and the order of the plastic seats are changed. According to information on the website of the Kurgan automobile company, the useful life of Russian buses is eight years. However, in the country they are allowed to circulate for longer than the stipulated time.
Inauguration of the second section of the Rosita-Bonanza highway
Rosario Murillo also announced that this Thursday the second section of the Rosita-Bonanza highway in the North Caribbean of Nicaragua will be inaugurated. This new land route is 30 kilometers of hydraulic concrete.

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure (MTI) and Retired General Minister Óscar Mojica will inaugurate the second stretch that joins us, the Autonomous Region of the North Cariba Coast, a 30-kilometre hydraulic concrete land road that allows this road to safe, stable and comfortable connection between the development towns of the mining triangle and the Pacific of our Nicaragua,” said the deputy president.
“An important path of development, in peace and prosperity for the families of the Mining Triangle, more than 70,000 brothers and sisters celebrate this new work of progress,” he added.
