On Tuesday night, a 53-year-old man was burned to death when his home, near the town of Tranqueras, department of Rivera, caught fire, as reported by Telemundo and confirmed The Observer with the National Fire Department.
Around 10:50 p.m., through 911, a fire detachment was notified and went to the area. The house, built with wood and a zinc sheet roof, was completely affected by the flames. Firefighters extinguished the fire with pressurized water from the fire engine.
Inside the consumed house they found the body of the man.
They investigate the cause of the fire. They contemplate that it could have been a stove used in the place.
