This Saturday no infections were officially reported from coronavirus in Cuba, according to the island’s health authorities.
On the day, 1,531 samples were analyzed for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 and none were positive, according to the most recent party from the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap), which adds that there were no deaths from COVID-19 in the country on the day and two medical discharges were given.

In this way, a total of 31 patients remain hospitalized due to the infectious disease, of which 24 are suspected and seven are confirmed active. None are in intensive care rooms.
With this, the number of infected in Cuba since the start of the pandemic remained at 1,111,267, while the deceased are 8,530, for a 0.77% lethality, according to official statistics.
These also account for 1,102,671 recovered patients, 99.2% of all those infected, although some of them have suffered sequelae from COVID-19. In addition, there are still two evacuees and 57 those returned to their countries during the pandemic.
