Santo Domingo.- One failure on Line 1 of the Metro Saint Dominic forced this Tuesday afternoonsa evacuate passengers at the Pedro Livio Cedeño station, generating a momentary interruption of service.
The Office for the Reorganization of Transport (Opret) reported that there was an incident in the door system of one of the wagonswhich made it necessary to dismantle the users and redirect its to the next available train.
The institution explained that the staff acted immediately following protocolshighlighting that this type of failure is common in railway systems.
Although the Opret minimized the situationhe Santo Domingo Metro has faced several glitches this year, some of which have caused delaysevacuations on the road and inconvenience among passengers.
The entity reiterated its commitment to ensure user safety and maintain service continuity in the event of any operational incident.
