Sixth-grade students from public and private schools, as well as from the National Council for Educational Development (Conafe), participate in the Children’s Knowledge Olympiad 2022, whose first stage ends on April 29, reported the Ministry of Public Education ( SEP).
The contest is carried out with the accompaniment of the local educational authorities, with the aim of contributing to raising the quality of the educational system and stimulating the achievement of students. He added that the second stage, which is carried out by region, sector or equivalent, will be held from May 2 to 20, and the third, at the state level, will be convened from May 23 to June 15.
In each of the stages, indicated the SEP, an instrument for evaluating knowledge and skills will be applied, proportionally, in the subjects of mathematics, Spanish, natural sciences, history and geography of the current plan and study programs.
The development of the three phases is the responsibility of the state educational authorities and Conafe, who will ensure that the evaluation and selection procedures are carried out properly and under the criteria of proportionality and equity.
The total number of winning students per entity will be determined by the SEP, and in proportion to the educational types established in the call. The students will receive a certificate that accredits them as winners and a monthly scholarship of one thousand pesos, from Fundación Bancomer, during their secondary education.
