Earlier, Jesús Mendoza Morales, one of the candidates for the FCU-UCV, pointed out to the militants of the Primero Justicia party in Anzoátegui state, of trying to forcefully enter the EUS Barcelona voting center, which generated acts of violence.
In addition, he called on the national leadership of that party to respect the student process.
Regarding this same case in Anzoátegui state, the outgoing president of the FCU-UCV, Luis Palacios, took the floor in the series of complaints made by university students and highlighted, «I inform the entire university community that from the EUS of Barcelona An environment of irregularities has been presented.
He assured that there was no relationship between the electoral notebook that arrived at the UES of Barcelona with the definitive pattern that was published by the electoral commission.
Palacios also reported on the presumed existence of votes that were not made, “we have the affirmation of an assisted vote, as well as the appearance of a vote that is not found both in the definitive register or in the notebook.”
He also indicated that students “have to defend our alma mater. We have to defend the principle of institutionality and that is why today we call on the electoral commission and the entire community to continue defending this renewal process».
Records do not match the number of participating voters
This Friday afternoon Roangel Ojeda student representative before the electoral commission of the UCV denounced before said entity that there are a series of irregularities that have been discovered by the students, who last Wednesday the 25th held the elections to elect the new representatives of the FCU.
“I have come to denounce a series of irregularities that have been happening since Wednesday, when this electoral process began. We have the specific case of the dental school, where the record that reached the central commission does not coincide with the number of voters who participated in said process,” said Ojeda.
He also pointed out that null votes are allegedly being awarded to the electoral alternatives, in addition to acts of violence.
“Thirdly, it is also important to denounce the acts of violence that occurred on Wednesday at around 4:00 in the afternoon, specifically at the law school, when a group of students tried to force their way into the school, an action that was detained by another group of students and by UCV security that were on the site at that time”, highlighted the student representative.
During the day the elections were held, the students had claimed that they were prohibited from observing the process, just as the witnesses were denied access to witnesses so that they could be present at the closing of some polling stations, specifically we have in the case of the Vargas School of Medicine, the School of Public Health, and the School of Geology, “because even though those witnesses were present there, the authorities and the other students denied access to the witnesses.”
