After a detailed restoration work, the Martí Theater in Havana will open its doors next Sunday with a concert, different media on the island announced.
With the explosion of the Hotel Saratoga, the Martí suffered structural damage, for which it had to close. Thanks to the work of designers, investors and engineers, it is almost ready to host a recital under the general direction of Rolando Almirante, according to the digital portal of the Performing Arts in Cuba.
The deputy director of the Office of the City Historian, Perla Rosales, thanked those involved in the recovery work, especially the small and medium-sized companies Pilares Construcción and JYA, Cercom and Pirámides.
Likewise, he highlighted the support of the Heritage Restoration Company and the entities belonging to the Office itself, the Workshop School and the international solidarity of Spain and France, as well as other diplomats and world personalities.
