Entrepreneurship has become the buzzword. The dream of becoming an entrepreneur has given way to the illusion of launching as an entrepreneur.
Anne Arrazola, director of Glocal Citizen, went to the Education and Society department, the space of EL DEBER to talk about educational innovation and social transformation. During four talks, she will break down the keys of the entrepreneur. In this first session, we talked about the spirit that characterizes them.
“The entrepreneur has no age, it is an attitude of life. The entrepreneur takes risks, challenges himself, perseveres”. Arrazola exposes the most relevant qualities. You don’t have to be young to start a business. It breaks the myth, although not completely. “He is restless, wanting to make an idea come true”, he describes. And he closes this brief description with the cornerstone for all entrepreneurs: “look for commercial, social or political solutions”.
For the specialist in accompanying innovation processes, “An entrepreneur solves problems.” That short phrase brings together the three key elements of the entrepreneur On the one hand, it marks the beginning, the problem. Trace the way to solve it, the solution. And close the loop with change that occurs in society.
Arrazola insists on the particularities of the entrepreneurial spirit. “You risk taking on challenges to find solutions,” he declares. Along the way, the necessary skills will be acquired to consolidate the effective solution.
It is common to link the word entrepreneur with the technological field. “All businesses must include technology to be connected,” he remarks. Thanks to connectivity, the entrepreneur weaves a network of collaborations that contribute to the consolidation of solutions.
In addition, the collaborative environment allows “orienting human talent” and root it in the community. From there, the outputs that reverse the initial problem are sought. “On his own, he can’t solve problems”, resolves Arrazola.
