Los Angeles, March 13 (Notistarz).- Animation “is ready to take the next step,” said Mexican director Guillermo del Toro, shining on the night of the Oscars after winning the statuette in the Best Motion Picture category. Animation with “Pinocchio”.

Guillermo del Toro and his co-director Mark Gustafson’s version of the Italian classic beat out ‘Red’, ‘Puss in Boots: The Last Wish’, ‘The Sea Monster’ and ‘Marcel the Shell with Shoes’ .
For the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Oscar award in the Best Animated Film category with “Pinocchio” assured “that life is the journey, love is the reward.”
In this film, the Mexican filmmaker reinvents Carlo Collodi’s classic tale of a wooden puppet that magically comes to life to repair the heart of the grieving carpenter Geppetto.
