“We are very hurt by this situation, the years go by and no administration dares to put an end to it. Culture cannot be torture”they wrote from the Animalist Platform from their official Twitter.
In conjunction with the organization Libera!, animal organizations They will demonstrate against the Criolla in the Rural del Pradowhere the event takes place, Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
As a result of the death of a horse, on the first day of riding, the Animalist Platform demands the suspension of said activity.

The decision to demonstrate was communicated by Plataforma this Sunday, after the Municipality of Montevideo confirmed through a statement the death of the horse on the first day of the horse riding 96° Creole Weekwhich began this Sunday and will end on Sunday April 9.
The equine suffered a hip trauma, that produced a “femoral arterial hemorrhage”. Despite the fact that the Municipality made its team of veterinarians available, when he was transferred to a care center his death was confirmed.
“The Municipality of Montevideo reiterates its commitment to continue year after year deepening all the measures within its reach in terms of prevention for the care and protection of animals”detailed the commune in its statement.
