The head of the Council of Ministers, Hannibal Torresconsidered that the Congress of the Republic intends to “ignore” the Presidency of Pedro Castillo and warned that “they work day and night” to achieve the dismissal of the head of state.
“You are seeing that in the capital, a part of Congress, a few congressmen, do not want to recognize the victory of Pedro Castillo, which is your victory. They want to ignore it”, expressed the prime minister this Sunday at a press conference from Ccapacmarca, in Cusco.
“And at every moment they claim vacancy, they want vacancy. They work day and night for the vacancy. In other words, they are coup plotters and, nevertheless, they call themselves democrats”, he remarked.

Likewise, the head of the Ministerial Cabinet affirmed that from the Executive they propose to put discussions related to “the problems of the people” first.
“We extend our hands to them. We do not want to continue arguing about these problems but to discuss national problems, to solve the problems of the people, postponed by 200 years of republican life”, he asserted.
The statement made by the representative of the Executive comes after learning of the meeting held by opposition congressmen, in which a possible vacancy for President Pedro Castillo would have been discussed.
Aníbal Torres arrived in the Cusco district of Ccapacmarca to talk with community members who block the road that connects with the Las Bambas mine.
In his speech, the prime minister stressed that he seeks to promote dialogue to resolve the social conflict and thus promote private investment.
“We peasants are reasonable. I am a peasant like you. We know how to talk. We know how to expose our problems and we know how to understand others to agree and promote investment in order to generate jobs, economic growth and with it social development“, Held.
