The first Minister Hannibal Torres rejected this Sunday the statements before the Public Ministry of the business advisor karelim lopezwho aspires to be an effective collaborator, regarding the fact that he would have offered the former general secretaries of the presidential office, Bruno Pacheco, to make arrangements for him to obtain political asylum.
“What I now demand of the prosecutor, that in the part that refers to me, he immediately proceed to verify that collaboration, he has to do it because he cannot act in this way […] what they are saying is absolutely false”, Torres pointed out on Canal N.
According to the information published in El Comercio, Karelim López declared before the MP: “Bruno Pacheco returned to his vehicle […] and told him that Aníbal Torres had offered to take him out of the country so that he would have peace of mind and they could give him asylum in another country. He told him that those in Congress had backed down, that they did not want to help him”.
“That is absolutely false, what power did I have or what faculties did I have to shelter him in another country, I was Minister of Justice, I was not Minister of Foreign Affairs, it is impossible for me to have offered Mr. Pacheco to do thatTorres insisted.
Torres asserted that the prosecution is acting in complicity with the extreme right that wants to vacate the President of the Republic. “They are coup plotters, anti-democratic, in coexistence with a majority sector of the press that has in their favor (…) all of us who have agreed to collaborate with Pedro Castillo know this situation, that they are not going to let him govern and are going to look for vacate it at any time“, he pointed.
