the former premier Hannibal Torres attended the Congressional Defense Commission that investigates the irregular trips of the ex-president’s entourage Pedro Castillo and he said that he did not know any of the people who used the aircraft of the Defense and Interior sectors; issue that caused a political scandal in the country.
“Generally I went up last and didn’t ask who was who. I sat in the front of the plane. I don’t know the people Castillo has traveled with. The list of these people is kept by the Air Force. I did not see their faces, I was only with my cell phone attending to State affairs, ”he said.
“I don’t know Fray Vásquez Castillo and I haven’t met him either,” added Aníbal Torres, however, he did admit to knowing the president’s wife and Jennifer Paredes, whom he saw “at breakfast or lunch at the Palace, but I don’t know any relationship”.
Torres indicated that he only participated in 6 trips “at the invitation of Pedro Castillo to establish working groups” and that when the scandal broke out about the alleged trip that the former president would have made with his nephew to Chiclayo, he did not travel at that time.
“I confirm that I have not traveled at that time. I am not going to believe the information in the media, ”she stressed.
