The president of the Council of Ministers, Aníbal Torres, spoke about the interpellation that will be made in the Congress of the Republic to the head of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), Geiner Alvarado, next Monday, September 5.
During his participation in the PCM press conference this Wednesday, Torres Vásquez was indifferent to a possible censorship of Alvarado after he answers the interpellatory statement that they raise.
“If they censor it, Congress is exercising its authority, it may seem good or bad to me. We already know what the solution is going to be, appoint a new Minister of Transport and Communications (…) They are seeing that the minister attends every time they request it”, he expressed.
In this sense, the head of the cabinet clarified that the work of a Minister of State is not stable, for which he assured that they will not “bother” if from the Legislative they decide to censor it.
“It is a power of Congress, it can challenge us ministers, rightly or wrongly. After inviting, you can censor us and that is a power of Congress, rightly or wrongly. The minister’s job is not stable. The mandate of the congressmen is stable for five years in office, like the President of the Republic, we are not going to bother if they censor us“, held.
As recalled, Geiner Alvarado headed the Ministry of Housing from the beginning of the Government of the president peter castle until before assuming the MTC, the last August 5.
According to the hypothesis of the Public Ministry, the official would have been the operator of an alleged criminal network within the Ministry of Housing, which would have been headed by the head of state, with the purpose of irregularly directing projects in the Cajamarca region and in the Lima province of Cajatambo.
