Aníbal Torres: “That complaint is totally inappropriate”

The head of the PCM, Aníbal Torres, indicated that Patricia Benavides’ constitutional complaint against the head of state is “inadmissible, since it does not comply with the terms indicated in article 117 of the Constitution.”

Torres refers to López Aliaga’s position with Pedro Castillo

Aníbal Torres referred to the decision of the virtual mayor of Lima, Rafael López Aliaga, not to hold a meeting with Pedro Castillo.

“For me it is a lack of knowledge of how political power is exercised. We are not going to act in the same way. It does not affect him, but the city of Lima,” he commented.

The head of the PCM referred to the order of the Judiciary that orders the Government to restore Daniel Soria as Attorney General of the State.

“There is no final ruling in this regard and if there is a final ruling, we, respectful of court orders, will execute that resolution immediately,” he said.

Aníbal Torres points out that a conference with international media was held at their request

Aníbal Torres referred to the press conference held last Tuesday with international media. Regarding this, the head of the PCM indicated that the request was made by press men and women from foreign media.

“There has been no discrimination as it is manifesting over there, but they (international press) have requested that it be carried out only with them. That is the truth,” he maintains.

It should be noted that last Tuesday, October 11, President Pedro Castillo and his ministers did not allow the national press to enter the conference offered after the raids by the Prosecutor’s Office for the Shadow Cabinet case and the constitutional complaint filed against the head of Condition.

At first, the authorities reported that there was a request for the activity to be exclusively for the foreign press; however, this was denied by the media in other countries.

After this action by the Executive, a group of journalists -including La República- left their microphones on the ground after being removed from the room of the Government Palace, where President Pedro Castillo and Ministers of State hold a press conference after the preliminary arrest of The Shadow Advisors.

“Freedom of the press!” the men and women of the press shouted in unison from the Túpac Amaru room while the conference was taking place. According to the head of Labor, Alejandro Salas, the foreign press requested that the conference be exclusively for the international media.
