Despite criticism for his sexist expressions against the journalist Sol Carrenothe President of the Council of Ministers, Hannibal Torresdid not retract and insisted that “whoever distorts the truth cannot be a good person.”
“When in a journalistic report it is affirmed that the absence of asphalt on the roads of Huancavelica is due exclusively to the current Government and not to the previous ones, the truth is falsified. Whoever distorts the truth cannot be a good person or a good communicator”, tweeted the prime minister.
“The criticisms I make against this ideological bias of certain communication companies are framed solely in that context. It is unethical to misrepresent my statements for the sole purpose of attack. Our government reaffirms its fight against all forms of machismo and discrimination,” he added.
At a press conference, the chief of staff criticized a report by “Fourth Power” that gave an account of the state of a highway in Huancavelica, whose paving is a promise that President Pedro Castillo has not yet fulfilled.
“I ask you: is it the only road that is not paved? All of Peru (is like this), that is the reality. You have to pave, but it’s not done overnight. Does Pedro Castillo say ‘let the road be built’ and the road has already been paved?” said Torres Vásquez at the ceremony on November 3.
Then, he referred to the communicator and issued unwelcome comments about your family and private life. “Why does that lady do that and manipulate some people in the home?takes advantage of their little knowledge to harm the Government”, he added.
