The former head of the PCM referred to the entrapment of the early elections project in the Congress of the Republic. He considered that benches would have agreed to generate an image of disagreement in plenary.
Former President of the Council of Ministers Hannibal Torres considered —during a public event held in Saint Mark— that the congressmen have trapped the advance of elections because “they don’t want to lose their fortnight or their monthly allowance”, in reference to the salary they receive as civil servants. “Here we base ourselves on facts, why is the early elections not approved in the Congress of the Republic, we must understand why, because no congressman from any bench wants to lose his fortnight, wants to lose his monthly payment. (…) That theater that is made in Congress that some ask for early elections adding the constituent assembly, is as if they had agreed to disagree, “he said.
