The constitutional lawyer Aníbal Quiroga will now be responsible for the processing of the jurisdictional claim and the precautionary measure against the Executive Power, due to the interpretation they made when assuming the first question of confidence was denied.
This was reported by the same lawyer to La República, detailing that the decision was only communicated today at around nine in the morning, by the Board of Directors. This, despite the fact that last Saturday, the same instance had required his intervention to take charge of both writings.
“My participation in the defense of Congress was ad honorem, at no cost to the treasury,” he explained to the lawyer.
Aníbal Quiroga held an interview on RPP this morning and warned about the risks of an eventual closure of Congress by President Pedro Castillo.
“We are presenting (the lawsuit and the precautionary measure) before a possible dissolution of Congress, where not only Congress and the main public liberties disappeared, but also, there will no longer be a Constitutional Court, because it will immediately be convene a Constituent Assembly and the issue will be completely subverted,” he commented.
