For Hannibal Quirogathe trust issue raised by Hannibal Torres to the Congress it is just a distraction from the criticism that has fallen on the premier for having referred to a journalist with insults and qualifications.
“This is an unexpected matter of trust that has arisen in the midst of the insults and insults that Prime Minister Aníbal Torres has given to a Channel 4 journalist. This rejection has been unanimous, including the journalistic unions, the Bar Association of Lima, civil society and even the United States embassy. Instead of throwing the stone the other way, the Executive launches this sort of question of trust that it would raise with Prime Minister Torres in Congress. The problem is that there is a law that is in force and that has to be respected, because it has gone through the control of the Constitutional Court and this body has ruled that a matter of trust, in these terms, is unconstitutional. Therefore, this issue is settled. What the Executive Power intends to discuss has already been discussed by the TC. It seems to me that this is an issue generated by fools and maniacs due to the disgrace generated by the premier’s insults to a journalist and they have had no better idea than to launch this to Congress. It seems to me that this rather complicates the situation of the Executive before the OAS. They have acted in a very basic way, they have been very elementary. What has caused a kind of action and reaction against the premier Torres who has been on the ropes and who has managed to dilute the criticism with this issue. The defense ministers of Pedro Castillo have memorized a template that they have repeated like parrots; which is the “balance of powers”, without realizing what they say because there is already a law so that the Executive does not abuse this measure”he indicated.
