The National Hydrocarbons Agency specified that the regulation of Decree 2243, which allows the purchase and transport of up to 1,200 liters of diesel per transaction to the agricultural sector, will be updated, an authorization that does not establish a monthly limit on these purchases.
“Supreme Decree 2243 has its specific regulations; however, it is an attribution of the General Directorate of Controlled Substances (DGSC), entity that analyzed the situation in this regard and undertook to carry out the evaluation and update the aforementioned regulations”, the regulatory entity informed EL DEBER.
Decree 2243 was approved in 2015 with the objective of establish the procedure for the purchase and transportation of volumes between 121 and 1,200 liters of diesel oil intended for consumption by registered agricultural producers, as well as the control and inspection mechanisms.
“Supreme Decree 2243 has the scope to establish the procedure for the purchase and transportation of fuels for the agricultural sector”, for which “it is advisable to carry out the analysis and evaluation of these sectors to update the regulations mentioned in the decree”, indicated the ANH.
