Monte Plata, RD- The provincial hospital Doctor Angel Contreras, of Monte Plata, launched this Monday the update of the Pharmaco-Therapeutic Guide of the healthcare center, with which they seek to maintain health standards.
“Throughout the country, in this change management, 54 therapeutic drug guides have been updated, and in many hospitals they had not been updated for more than 18 years,” said Omar García, National Director of Medicines of the National Service, during the launching ceremony. of Health (SNS).
García stressed that this guide promotes the national prescription of medicinessince it is the catalog of these products and supplies used by each hospital, allowing doctors to prescribe in molecules, as established in the General Health Law 42-01.
On his side, in a message to the directors of the provincial hospital, the director of the Metropolitan Regional Health Service, Edisson Feliz Feliz, valued this great step by Ángel Contreras, “with which the progress that the health sector has been making is demonstrated and the development of assistance centers in favor of users”.
The activity, headed by Dr. Rafael Augusto de Luna Hernández, director of the Ángel Contreras Hospital, and Bernarda García Rivera, in charge of the Supply and Medication Division of the Metropolitan Regional Health Service (SRSM), was attended by dozens of collaborators from the institution and special guests.
