At times she talked with her lawyer Norka Cuéllar, who accompanied her from the Miraflores prison in La Paz.
While the session was being installed, in the streets of La Paz, near the Palace of Justice of the seat of Government, there were clashes between groups that reject Áñez’s trial and supporters of the Movement for Socialismor more). The Police had to intervene for the situation to reach extremes.

Áñez was in a space in the Miraflores prison. Behind it was a chair that at times was occupied by a police guard, who was standing most of the time. The former president was wearing a chinstrap and a black jacket. Arms crossed and serious, that’s how almost the entire virtual session passed.

He did not manage to intervene, he only spoke the moment the list of participants was called of the audience. In the image Norka Cuéllar, one of his lawyers, was seen. Fears of confrontation were recorded at the doors of the courts of the city of La Paz before yesterday’s session starts. “It is justice, it is not revenge”, shouted the sympathizers of the ruling party, in the midst of a strong police guard that separated the two sides. “Masistas, thugs, the people do not forget,” was the response from the other sector.

“What this current government wants is to silence the truth, it is unfortunate that with this concentration of people, violence continues to be encouraged.

We have come to demonstrate peacefully for my mother and for all the political prisoners and that the whole world knows that the Government intimidates us and wants to kill us, the injustice that exists in Bolivia, ”said Carolina Ribera, daughter of Áñez, who was on the opposite side of the masistas.

In social networks, the call for a “plantón by Jeanine Añez, I support Carolina, José Armando and the relatives of political prisoners and persecuted people”, a rally called for yesterday on Colón Street at the seat of government. The Police controlled the moment and it did not happen to majors.
