ANEP inaugurated three initial and primary educational centers in Salto

Authorities of the National Administration of Public Education (ANEP) inaugurated, this Friday the 9th, three new full-time educational centers in the La Amarilla and Artigas neighborhoods of the capital of Salta. The two kindergartens and the school were built under the public-private partnership (PPP) modality with universal accessibility, dining rooms and psychomotricity areas for more than 500 children in the area.

The inaugurations included the presence of the president of the ANEP Central Board of Directors, Robert Silva; the general director of Initial and Primary Education, Graciela Fabeyro; counselor Juan Gabito and departmental education authorities.

The celebrations began with the opening of the full-time kindergarten No. 133, located in the La Amarilla neighborhood of the city of Salto. This garden receives 141 children and offers breakfast, lunch and snacks. The building is made up of five classrooms, a space for psychomotricity and outdoor spaces equipped with walkways, accesses, landscaping and a 954-square-meter children’s play area.

Then, the ribbon cutting was held at the full-time school No. 136, of universal accessibility, in the Artigas neighborhood. This institution operates in nine classrooms: six for schoolchildren and three for preschoolers, plus a space for psychomotricity. In addition, it has a dining room, administration and an area of 3,027 square meters.

Lastly, Kindergarten No. 135 was inaugurated, also in the Artigas neighborhood. It works with a double shift proposal and daily receives 156 children distributed in groups of 3, 4 and 5 years. The structure is made up of five classrooms, plus one for psychomotricity activities and an area of outdoor spaces equipped with walkways, accesses, landscaped grass and a 954-square-meter children’s play area.

Silva stressed that the inaugurations show the best traditions of the country and a public education that, he considered, since the end of the 19th century is the fundamental flag of social progress, construction of citizenship and generation of opportunities, especially for the most vulnerable population.

He pointed out that the centers were built under public-private partnership contracts (PPP), which allow them to respond quickly and effectively to needs.

In addition, he argued that education requires profound transformations to adapt to current times and provide more opportunities for children. He added that this requires the efforts of all the actors involved, both from the educational community, as well as from the teaching team, officials and authorities.

For his part, Fabeyro highlighted the responsibility and professionalism of the teaching team and officials of the inaugurated establishments, and valued the commitment and participation of the community.

He stressed that kindergartens play a fundamental role in the cognitive, psychomotor and socio-emotional development of children, and that from this, responsible, critical and active citizenship begins to be forged.

Gabito, meanwhile, valued the tradition of education. In this sense, he affirmed that it is an institutional continuity and also a commitment to educational transformation that implies, among other measures, a deep curricular update at all levels, with an emphasis on initial and primary.
