The National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) estimates that the electricity tariff should increase, on average, 5.6% in 2023. The data was presented this Wednesday (23) to the group of Mines and Energy of the transitional government .
The agency’s projection is that, next year, seven distributors will have a readjustment of more than 10%; 15 distributors, adjustment between 5% and 10%; 17 distributors, adjustment between 0% and 5%; and 13 distributors, readjustment of less than 0%.
In the report presented during the meeting with the transition group, Aneel highlighted that the readjustment percentages depend on assumptions that can be changed until the approval of the tariff processes.
At the meeting with the Mines and Energy group, topics such as the opening of the free market, the evolution of tariffs, service quality, issues related to the social tariff, universalization, service quality and user satisfaction were also addressed.
“Aneel presented during the meeting an overview of the main issues under discussion in the electricity sector, related to the generation, transmission, distribution and commercialization segments, in addition to the topics that are currently under debate that deserve greater attention from the transition team”, informed the agency.
