The National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) met this Thursday (24) with energy distribution concessionaires operating in the state of São Paulo to reinforce services in the region, mainly due to the second round of municipal elections, to be held this Sunday (27). Heavy rain is forecast until this Friday (25). 
In the last two storms, there was an interruption in supply, affecting thousands of people and even schools and other units, which will be used as voting locations in the second round of municipal elections, to be held this Sunday (27). The state of São Paulo will have a second round in 18 cities.
The five participating concessionaires will have teams at the state government’s integrated monitoring center and reinforced service in municipalities with a second round.
Aneel and the Public Services Regulatory Agency of the State of São Paulo (Arsesp) had already requested that concessionaires avoid temporary suspension of the network, such as scheduled shutdowns, maneuvers and other operations, in addition to reinforcing communication with monitoring teams.
On the part of the concessionaires, there was a commitment to issue periodic bulletins, especially in the event of a power outage, and to act together to map and respond to emergencies, including with the help of teams in areas most seriously affected.
The companies serve around 20 million consumer units distributed across 645 municipalities in São Paulo.
