Andrés Velásquez, presidential candidate and leader of La Causa R (CSF), presented in the state of Lara his government proposal that he called “A Venezuela with Dignity”, with emphasis on economic and social issues, in view of the primary elections to be held in 2023.
During his presentation, the politician said that he does not consider himself the candidate of his party, but rather wants to be the one that represents all Venezuelans to achieve the proposed goals of a change of government in order to improve the situation in Venezuela. “I want to be the Unity candidate,” he said.
According to a press release, Velásquez raised the need to “dignify Venezuelans, politics and the economy.” He proposes the return to their owners of those companies that were expropriated by the Executive in previous years and resume an agenda of oil opening with the support of the private sector.

In addition, he promised to create an oil royalty fund for pensions and establish respect for legal security to encourage investment, as well as clear economic rules to stimulate areas such as industry, technology and tourism with the support of companies that wish to inject capital in Venezuela.
In social matters, it proposes investing in education, health and quality public services; restore the social value of work and labor rights, promote decent work and private investment.
Other things that Velásquez put forward in his country proposal is the refounding of Universal Social Security, respect for Human Rights, civil, political and environmental rights, as well as the rule of law and independent justice.

In the political sphere, he considers it urgent to promote a Constitutional Reform, eliminate indefinite re-election, establish a double presidential round, resume the process of administrative decentralization and create an anti-corruption prosecutor’s office.
Saturday November 5thAndrés Velásquez announced his candidacy for the primary elections of the Unitary Platform, in which the person who will compete in the 2024 presidential elections will be chosen.
He then urged all sectors of the dissidence to sign a national pact “that includes all the actors.” He added that in order to govern and rebuild the country, one must act in unity to be able to face “all the sabotage and conspiracy that the dictatorship that wants to continue to remain in power will deliberately promote as a policy.”
