The comprehensive recovery of the Andrés Miranda Sports Complex, located in the Coche parish of Caracas, was carried out through the Obratón 2025 plan. The information was announced by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during a television broadcast from the Miraflores Palace, during the Council of Ministers.
In this context, the head of state highlighted the continuity of the program of community works that have been carried out during this year 2025: “Today we continue the Obratón, a month ago more than 20 thousand works with popular vote. And today we are going to deliver other works, we continue with the Obratón, so that Christmas is filled with brilliance.”
From Coche, the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, highlighted the social impact of the rehabilitation: “10 sports organizations are alive here, with Together Everything is Possible, we have made progress in this Sports Complex, as a Christmas gift, today is a special day for our children, with this Obratón we are moving forward. The coaches, too, are happy.”
For his part, the president of the Juntos Todo es Possible Corporation, Walter Gavidia, detailed the improvements made to the facilities: “Ceilings have been installed, new chairs have been added, spaces have been expanded and sports areas have been built, batting areas have also been set up for baseball and sanitary services have been installed on the junior baseball field. We have recovered thirty thousand meters of green areas, in total. Well, with this work we add to the fact that this extraordinary year, in just seven months, we have delivered 1,116 works.”
Finally, the head of Government of the District of Caracas, Nahum Fernández, underlined the scope of the day: “More than three thousand young people have been benefited, evidencing the progress achieved. This is how we close this year with the Obratón day.”
