The supreme judge Juan Carlos Checkley scheduled, for next October 15 at 3:00 pm, the prosecutor’s request to confirm the seizure of S/1,600 and a cell phone found in the possession of Andres Hurtado when he underwent surgery on September 19 at the Novo Q clinic, located in San Borja. Such a request was presented by the supreme prosecutor Alcides Chinchay, who reported that the request was made on September 24.
According to the magistrate, 16 one hundred sole bills were seized from Chibolín, which have been deposited in an account at the Banco de la Nación, and a cell phone. Both items were handed over voluntarily by the television host when he was arrested.
Likewise, he reported that they had already been sealed and that Hurtado’s legal defense presented a document in which they informed that “they did not give consent for the procedure to extract information from the investigated mobile device.”

Legal situation of Andrés Hurtado
At the moment, Andres Hurtado must serve preventive detention. The judge’s decision was based on the fact that there would be a procedural danger, since Hurtado Grados would not have sufficient roots (family, work or home) to guarantee his permanence in Peru and would not have shown willingness to face the judicial process.
“The police never saw Mr. Andrés Hurtado, which is an indicator that It is easy to remain hidden within the country and that later we will see that it has been proven with the different searches that this office has had to do in hotels, clinics, until the accused can be found,” said prosecutor Cárdenas at the hearing of the preventive detention request on September 30.
It should be noted that Panamericana Televisión issued a statement announcing the suspension of Andrés Hurtado’s employment contract and therefore the suspension of his program ‘Sábado con Andrés’. In addition, the company Molisalud, which indicated that it had hired him after the suspension of Panamericana, ruled out having a link with Chibolín.
As a last resort, Hurtado presented a recent contract signed with the company CITRAMEF SAC, but this was questioned as it was for a trial period. “Regarding the recently signed contract with the company CIRTRAMEF SAC with a trial period of three months, does not foresee a permanence that ensures its subjection to the process, even more so when On 10/01/2024, the aforementioned company informed the prosecutor’s office that it does not have an employment relationship with Andrés Hurtado.“, reads the court document.
Added to this, the different amounts of monthly income, which ranged from 10 thousand soles to 300 thousand soles, caused the Judiciary to determine that he did not maintain a stable employment relationship.
