Andrés Hurtado gave Dina Boluarte the yellow suit with which she assumed the presidency, according to Henry Shimabukuro

Andrés Hurtado gave Dina Boluarte the yellow suit with which she assumed the presidency, according to Henry Shimabukuro

It would not only be Wilfredo Oscorima’s watches and jewelry. Dina Boluarte would also have received gifts and even the yellow suit with which he assumed the presidency in 2022 from Andrés Hurtado. This was stated by Henry Shimabukuro, former advisor to the Presidential Office.who expressed that the former television presenter not only sought to be close to former President Pedro Castillo, but also to other senior officials of the Government at that time, including his vice president and the current head of State.

“He (Andrés Hurtado) gave away clothes and objects to ‘sweeten’ people. (…) But not only the yellow suitbut also other things such as details for assuming the position of president”, were the statements of Henry Shimabukuro in the report published in the ATV program ‘Occurs Now’.

Weeks ago, the program ‘Beto a Saber’ also gave indications of an alleged link between Chibolín and Dina Boluarte, where designer Maritza Espinoza confirmed having made the suit with which the president appeared at the National Holidays activities last year. “I don’t deny that it isn’t. Yes, I met her last year and it was on July 28“, she stated in September when consulted by the Willax TV program. However, after Henry Shimabukuro’s statements, Espinoza did not want to comment on the suit when he assumed the presidency.

The closeness of Andrés Hurtado with the Presidency of the Republic would have started during Pedro Castillo’s administration. According to Henry Shimabukuro, it was the then Vice Minister of Health who introduced Chibolín to a relative of the former president. “Hurtado reached Castillo’s nephew through Salatiel Marrufo,” he said. Subsequently,—as the former advisor has previously stated— Andrés Hurtado became the former head of the National Intelligence Directorate (DINI)José Fernández Latorre, who would have arranged a monthly payment of 50 thousand soles for the former television presenter who today faces 18 months of preventive detention.

Andrés Hurtado and the payments received in the DINI

Henry Shimabukuro, former official in Pedro Castillo’s government, revealed that the television host Andrés Hurtado would have charged thousands of soles to improve the image of José Luis Fernández, then head of the National Intelligence Directorate (DINI). According to Shimabukuro, the payments would have been made with funds from the DINI’s petty cash, and Hurtado visited the institution weeks before participating in an event at the Government Palace with Pedro Castillo.

At this event, held in February 2022, Hurtado was with Castillo and two hundred childhood cancer patients. During his speech, Hurtado mentioned his close relationship with the head of the DINIJosé Luis Fernández, which raised suspicions about a previous link. Shimabukuro pointed out that Fernández told him that the objective was to improve his image through appearances on Hurtado’s program, in exchange for an assigned budget.

It is estimated that Hurtado would have received monthly payments of around S/50,000 for three or four months, in a scheme similar to that used with Vladimir Cerrón as a “secret agent.” In addition, Hurtado would have provided key contacts in the Judiciary and the Public Ministry to Fernández, who was invited several times to Hurtado’s program and participated in private meetings organized by him.
