Andrés Caleca from Macarao: Do not count on me to abandon the electoral route

In an act held in Macarao, Caracas, Caleca reiterated that the path is electoral, since that is the Achilles heel of Nicolás Maduro. In his opinion, he is the one who uses public resources to try to stay in power, but he does not have the votes to achieve it

andres calecaan independent candidate for the primaries on October 22, urged preparation for the presidential elections to be held in 2024 where, according to him, all the conditions are in place to defeat Nicolás Maduro.

“Let no one think of suggesting that we are going to abandon the electoral route for 2024, don’t count on me. Democrats always vote, even in the worst conditions, ”he said.

In an act held in Macarao, Caracas, he reiterated that the path is electoral, since that is the Achilles heel of Nicolás Maduro. In his opinion, he is the one who uses public resources to try to stay in power, but he does not have the votes to achieve it. “We can defeat them. They are a short mango ”, he pointed out.

“In 2024 they have to make elections, they can advance them, but they cannot be skipped (…) we are going to win anyway,” he said. For this reason, he urged those present to organize themselves, train the witnesses that are needed and be willing to support and accompany them on election day to face any abuse.

The also candidate of the Movement for Venezuela, reiterated what he considers the three necessary conditions to win the electoral victory, which are “to win by beating”, to have all the records in hand, “to prove that victory” and, if it still occurs to them to try something, “a firm and determined people will defend that victory and there is no one who can against that.”

His proposal to reverse the poverty in which more than 80% of Venezuelans live is to generate decent, stable and well-paid work, for which investment of private, national and foreign capital is required, to which is added the need to recover the country’s infrastructure that “is on the ground”.

Caleca is clear that these measures take time to take effect, which is why he proposes the Venezuela Without Hunger program, where students, the elderly and hospital patients will be fed, which will be financed by the UN, the FAO and other multilateral entities and which he estimates will last two years.
