He CADE Executives 2024 had as a speaker the senior partner of the multinational consulting firm McKinsey & CompanyAndrés Cadena, who urged Peru and Latin America to invest in the industries of the futurewhose income has increased from US$1 trillion to US$7 trillion in the last 15 years.
Cadenas identified 18 “areas of the future”, including e-commerce, industrial biotechnology, AI software and services, electric vehicles, space industry, robotics, and obesity medications.

The Colombian speaker explained that The United States and China have about 80% of participation in the development of those arenas, and that Latin America’s problem was its absence in those markets.
In that sense, Cadenas invited Peru to recognize itself as a potentially rich nation.
“Peru has to begin to recognize that it is a potentially rich country”said the senior partner. “If we want to be part of the development of the future of the planet we have to understand them and participate in them”he added.
Finally, Cadenas said that, according to McKinsey & Company estimates, by 2040 the industries of the future would generate up to US$48 trillion in revenues and more than US$6 trillion in profitsdriving up to a third of global GDP growth.
