Federal deputy André Janones (Avante-MG) made it official this Thursday (4th) that he left the presidential race to support former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). “Lula is taking up our proposals for aid. You know that Emergency Aid was the great mark of our mandate so far, the fight for the aid to remain at R$ 600”, said Janones, justifying the withdrawal and the new support . According to him, by withdrawing the candidacy, it is unified and is now represented by the candidacy of the former president.

“We need to create conditions to say that one day this country will rise and there will be no one hungry,” said Lula, reinforcing the fight against hunger as a campaign banner.

With a strong presence on social networks, Janones must now collaborate mainly in the digital core of the PT campaign. Born in Ituiutaba (MG), André Janones gained notoriety during the truck drivers’ strike in 2018. In that year’s elections, he ended up being elected the third most voted federal deputy in Minas Gerais.
