ANDE and Parliament commemorate the National Day of Entrepreneurial Culture

ANDE and Parliament commemorate the National Day of Entrepreneurial Culture

With a business fair, which will take place on November 18 and 19 on the esplanade of the Legislative Palace, the sector will celebrate the work of projects and initiatives throughout the country. Espacio Emprendedor will include about 100 stands, covering the items of clothing, accessories, decoration and gastronomy. The Vice President of the Republic, Beatriz Argimón, assured that it is an opportunity for the meeting.

According to article 7 of Law No. 19,820, the National Day of Entrepreneurial Culture is commemorated on the third Thursday of November each year. The president of the National Development Agency (ANDE), Carmen Sánchez, also participated in the opening, held this Thursday 17 at the Legislative Palace

This year, for the second time, Espacio Emprendedor will be held, a fair made up of 100 stands, a gastronomic area and shows.

On the occasion, Argimón reported that, due to the success of the activity in 2021, this year it will last two days. In addition, he highlighted the increase in the entrepreneurial spirit of Uruguayans throughout the territory and the importance of having a meeting.

Sánchez, meanwhile, indicated that the initiative will bring together around 120 participants from all over the country, in areas that include clothing, accessories, decoration and gastronomy, among others.

Likewise, he clarified that the entrepreneurs selected to participate in the sample were, at some point in their career, supported by different programs or instruments available to ANDE. The hierarch considered that, through this action, they are being given the opportunity to be in Montevideo, show what they do and market it.

He also recalled that Law No. 19,820, of September 18, 2019, encourages entrepreneurship. “It is a source of work and economic development for the country,” he said, adding that the Government is committed to supporting and continuing to encourage this sector.

The fair will open this Friday the 18th, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on Saturday the 19th, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
