Carlo Ancelotti does not get blind to the challenge that awaits him in Bolivia. The coach of the Brazilian team acknowledged in past statements that he already knows the effects of height and admitted that they never sat well.
His first experience goes back to MEXICO 1986when he integrated the Italian team. Although he did not play any minute in the meetings played in Mexico City, he lived closely the complications that mean the more than 2,200 meters above sea level. Italy tied 1-1 against Argentina and Bulgaria, and defeated South Korea 3-2.

The Italian coach also revealed that in 1993 he traveled to Ecuador to witness the Copa América, where he was in contact with cities of altitude. That experience reinforced its conviction that playing in these conditions demands a different preparation.
Next Tuesday will be an unprecedented challenge in his career: directing in Bolivia. Nothing less than in the high, more than 4,100 meters above sea level, where Brazil will be measured with green by the last date of the South American Qualifiers, from 19:30.
