According to the agency, the release of the bands does not guarantee that the networks will be automatically installed in the municipalities. The operation of the service depends on the individual planning of each operator.

With the new authorizations, 19 states now have all their municipalities authorized to provide 5G service. The signal will reach 4,808 municipalities, where 197 million people live, a number equivalent to 92% of the country’s population.

According to data from Anatel, the signal will be released in the following states: Acre, Alagoas, Amazonas, Amapá, Federal District, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraíba, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Rondônia, Roraima, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Sergipe, São Paulo and Tocantins.

Interferences

Anatel warns that 5G may cause interference in the Open TV signal captured by satellite dishes, requiring adaptations to maintain image quality.
