Añaños continues in Modern Peru

Carlos Añaños

In his letter, the businessman refers to the evaluation of members. “I hereby welcome the fact that your recent statement has included our demand to carry out a process of internal reorganization of the Perú Moderno party, which will allow us to build new solid foundations as urgently as possible.”

Further down, it details that “in line with what you have expressed in your statement, ‘it is necessary to carry out an evaluation of all members with a view to the institutionalization of the party’, which must be carried out with transparency and without delays.”

Añaños clarifies his position. “I know that within a political process there are discrepancies and issues that are non-negotiable, such as the fact that all our members must meet minimum integrity requirements and share the same ideology and political thinking.”

The businessman also emphasises his simple activism. “I always told him that my dream is Peru, that I am not a candidate: I am an activist like the thousands of people who joined me, with the hope of transforming the way politics is done in our country.”

Añaños finally makes it clear that “from my militancy, I will be vigilant that the process begins as soon as possible.”
