Bearing this in mind, and that, just over a month away, the new authorities will exercise their functions, the prosecutor Ana Villanueva, in her capacity as president of the Promoter Group for Coexistence Without Violence in the Educational Institutions of Huancavelica, is organizing a forum of authorities so that they know these realities.

What is the forum about?

It is to provide information on the situational status of childhood and adolescence in Huancavelica and on the status of Huancaverlicana women.

To whom is it directed?

The general population can attend and participate. Regional and local authorities are being summoned for this forum, which will begin their efforts the following year. Various authorities are being invited with the aim of making them see the social problems that exist in Huancavelica so that later, the authorities can include them in their work plans, in their government plans.

What are these social problems that afflict Huancavelica?

We are dividing into several axes for the knowledge of the authorities, among them is the violence and rape of children, adolescents and women of Huancavelica; also child exploitation, lack of protection and risk of abandonment of minors, adolescent pregnancy, are issues that must be treated with equal or greater importance than construction projects, because not everything is cement and iron, it is also seeing social problems.

What records are there on cases of rape and violence?

In the case of violence against children, adolescents and women, five cases of violence are reported daily in any of its forms, it can be said, in its physical, psychological and sexual forms. Likewise, of the total cases of violence, 30% affect children and adolescents; and 82% of the cases of violence in Huancavelica have the face of a woman.

Had you previously coordinated with authorities on other social issues?

Yes, the cases of sexual harassment in public places, ordinances were issued for this by the regional government and several municipalities, however, they only remained in documents, when they should have been implemented.

Will they coordinate so that the forum is not only on paper?

Everything depends on the political will of the incoming authorities, which is why they are urged to attend and participate, because the only thing that is sought is an adequate and healthy environment for the growth of minors, as well as the reduction of cases of violence against woman.

Prosecutor Villanueva reported that today at 09:00 a.m., in the Multiple Use Room (SUM) of the Provincial Municipality of Huancavelica (MPH) will be the forum.
