The case involving Hurtado is being investigated by the Second Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Money Laundering Crimes, which began preliminary proceedings last Monday. Hurtado is being investigated for the alleged commission of the crime of money laundering, which has generated a great deal of media attention due to his public figure.
At the same time, Javier Miu Lei also appeared before the Prosecutor’s Office today to testify in relation to the case. The investigations aim to clarify the possible participation of various people in the events under investigation.
In addition, the Prosecutor’s Office has summoned other people involved in the case for tomorrow, including Ana Siucho’s brothers, Iván and Roberto Siucho, as well as Roxana del Águila. It has also been reported that Andrés Hurtado’s producer, José Antonio Malpartida, must appear next Friday to give his testimony before the authorities.
Authorities are continuing their investigations to determine the extent of the alleged illegal activities and the possible responsibility of those involved.
Why is Andrés Hurtado accused?
Ana Siucho, wife of soccer player Edison Flores, broke her silence and offered details about the relationship between her brother Iván Siucho and television presenter Andrés Hurtado, who is being investigated for the alleged commission of the crime of money laundering. In her statements to Beto Ortiz, Ana clarified that the link between her brother and Hurtado originated as a result of a problem related to the seizure of gold belonging to her cousin, Javier Miu Lei.
According to the version presented by Ana, Javier Miu Lei went to Iván Siucho after the seizure of 100 kilos of gold, asking for help to resolve the situation. Faced with this, Iván turned to Andrés Hurtado for support. Ana revealed that when Iván contacted Hurtado, he had responded: “Let me see how much they charge me.” Days later, the presenter informed her that the cost to manage the return of the seized gold would be one million dollars.
Ana Siucho also mentioned that Andrés Hurtado had received the total sum of one million dollars to, in collaboration with prosecutor Luz Elizabeth Peralta, manage the return of the gold to Miu Lei. These statements open a new chapter in the investigation being carried out by the Second Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Money Laundering Crimes against Hurtado, who is under scrutiny for his alleged participation in illegal activities.
