Ana Matilde Gómez expresses that the TE should teach more about collecting signatures

The long-awaited Monday, August 15, the day on which the process of collecting signatures for free candidacies began, began with a long list of complaints about delays and problems with the digital platform set up by the Electoral Tribunal (TE) for that purpose. .

The former prosecutor and pre-candidate for deputy for free application, Ana Matilde Gómez, clarified these irregularities, stating that the TE should do more dissemination and teaching.

“We are the candidates who have to get to the kiosks to explain to people. There are kiosks that were not operational yesterday and no further information has been released by the Electoral Tribunal, they have practically left us the information to the pre-candidates and that adds a cost and wear and tear,” he remarked.

Regarding the kiosks, according to Gómez, the problem with these is poor accessibility, since they depend on the place where it is installed and if the establishment is open.

He revealed that he registered for a long time and took the phones to the Electoral Court to have the application installed, he still does not have them.

“This process that began yesterday, and I am wasting time because of the Electoral Court, waiting for them to give me the credentials to activate those phones and be able to work. The Court has subtracted 24 hours of activism from me,” he specified.
