Ana Botín, owner of Santander, meets Sheinbaum

“Mexico is a great country with enormous development potential and today we have known first -hand the Mexico Plan, which we are supporting,” Botín said on his Instagram account.

Sheinbaum Pardo stressed that this meeting talked about the investments that will make the bank and the confidence in the country in a context in which the relationship between Mexico and the United States is affected by the threat of tariffs.

Ana Botín will present on Tuesday the Digital Bank – which was already launched in the United States – by the hand of Matías Núñez, who is the CEO of OpenBank Mexico, and Felipe García Ascencio, general director of Grupo Financiero Santander in Mexico.

OpenBank joins the list of new 100% digital banks that have come out in recent months to the market after other banks such as Banorte and Invex launched their digital bank.
