AN will debate the greeting agreement for the National Journalist’s Day

The National Assembly (AN) in its ordinary session this Tuesday, at the Federal Legislative Palace, Caracas, will debate for its approval the Draft Greeting Agreement to be celebrated on June 27 on National Journalist’s Day.

In this way, the AN joins this celebration in homage to the publication, in 1818, of the first issue of the Correo del Orinoco newspaper, created by El Libertador Simón Bolívar, with the collaboration of Juan Germán Roscio, Cristóbal Mendoza, among others and was instituted in 1964.

The agenda of the AN also contemplates for the plenary, the discussion for its approval of the Draft Agreement in repudiation of the armed rebellion of the Wagner group in Russia, against President Vladimir Putin.

President Putin faced a failed military mutiny attempt led by Evgueni Prigozhin, owner of the private military company Grupo Wagner, on June 24, an action that at the time was condemned by the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and other nations.

The discussion and approval of the Draft Agreement in commemoration of the Two Hundredth Second Anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo and Day of the Bolivarian Army is also scheduled in plenary.

Finally, the session of the AN is scheduled to consider the report presented by the Permanent Commission on Foreign Policy, Sovereignty and Integration of the AN, through which the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, is authorized to designate the citizen Alberto Efraín Castelar Padilla as ambassador of the nation before the Federal Republic of Nigeria, concurrent with the Republics of Chad, Sierra Leone and Liberia, in accordance with the provisions of articles 187 numeral 14 and 236 numeral 15 of the Constitution.
